February 25th Catch of the Day – The Somnambulants

In keeping with our “music from movies” theme this Sunday, I bring you The Somnambulants. This couple began making music in 2001 out of New York. Their elecrtronic/pop sounds takes influences from Joy Division, The Postal Service, and Tlaking Heads. The duo then moved out to San Francisco and completed their latest album, Evacuation. They caught the attention of filmmaker Ryan Fleck, who went ahead and included a track on the Half Nelson Soundtrack. Today’s ”Catch” is the title track off Evacation.
