Spidey 3 Webs In Cool Chillville Artists

Friday, March 30th, 2007

On May 1 the Spiderman 3 Soundtrack will hit the stores, and you can expect tracks from some of our more common Chillville bands. This album should be a departure from the more emo sounding songs on the Spiderman 2 record.

Here are some of the highlights to look forward to:

  • Snow Patrol – Signal Fire
  • Yeah Yeah Yeahs – Sealings
  • The Walkmen – Red River
  • The Flaming Lips – Spiderman vs. Muhammed Ali

Happy Mondays Are Back

Tuesday, March 27th, 2007

The pioneers of early techno-alternative have announced that they will be releasing a full length album this year, which is their first since ‘92. The band’s last full length, Yes Please, was a disappointing end to the era of Factory Records and the great music coming out of Manchester at that time. The Mondays will be playing the Coachella Festival this year, and will be putting the finishing touches on their album. I can only pray that we see new tracks that mimic the ones on Pills ‘N’ Thrills and Bellyaches…only time will tell.

March 25th Catch of the Day – Snow Patrol

Sunday, March 25th, 2007

First there was “Hero” by Chad Kroeger. Next there was “Vindicated” by Dashboard Confessional. Now, Snow Patrol brings us the latest hit from the third installment of Spiderman. “Signal Fire” is the new track on Spiderman 3, which hits stores on May 1. Snow Patrol seems to be the perfect fit to perform the latest love song from the comic book blockbuster series. The film will make its premiere on May 04.
